1. Go to Prontera's Church in the northeastern corner of Prontera .
Go to the room to the right hand side and talk to the male Cleric (Father Mareusis).
Tell Mareusis "Father, I want to be an Acolyte".
He will ask you to go meet one of the following Ascetics:
Important
Once you talk to the corresponding Ascetic, you will be saved at their location.
So if you die or use a 
Butterfly Wing, you will return to the NPC's spot instead of your previous save point.
Select the Ascetics
This is the longest distance one has to travel but is actually relatively easy to get to.
Use the Kafra teleport service to go to Morocc, and go out the exit to the north.
You will then be on Sograt Desert 07.
The Ascetic is located in the northwestern corner of the map.
Use the Kafra teleport service to warp to Geffen and walk 2 maps to the east to arrive at Prontera Field 00.
It is also possible to reach this location by traveling 1 map west, 1 map north, and 1 map west from Prontera.
The Ascetic is located in the center of the map.
Travel 1 map east, 1 map north, and 1 map east from Prontera to arrive at Prontera Field 03.
This option is actually one of the hardest of the three choices due to the Mandragora map (Prontera Field 02) you
must pass through. Try not to hit any of the Yoyos and 
Fly Wing from any Chocos: they will kill
most Novices.
The Ascetic is located in the northeastern corner of the map.
2. Return to the Church and talk to Father Mareusis again to change into an Acolyte.
