Gamer Master
Overview
Game Masters, also known as GMs, are in charge of Arcadia Online; they patrol the game, answer tickets, questions, sometimes DMs , and monitor the server. Some are hidden from view from players to work in the background, some only communicate via Gitlab, others also via Discord, Forum, in-game etc.
Special Commands
GMs have access to special commands which allow them to perform their job duties in the game.
Identification
In-game
- GM character names always start with
[GM]. Bot Hunters start with[BH]. Nobody else is able to have this in their name under normal circumstances. - GM characters' names will be displayed in yellow text.
- GMs will never ask for any of your account details in-game. They will always request that you submit account related queries through an issue on their Tracker.
Do not ever provide any individual with any account information in-game, regardless of any reason they may devise for needing such information. - GMs will never ask for your password anywhere.
- GMs use a distinct sprite. Males wear a white garment with a trim, which extends down to the character's feet, and females wear a miniskirt with a trim. All GM characters will be displayed with these special outfits.
- GMs will never ask for items, zeny, equipment, etc. from any players for any reason. They will also not give out any items, zeny, equipment, etc. for any reason. The only exception to these two rules is in special cases.
If at any time during the course of gameplay you encounter a character who claims to be a GM but does not meet the above mentioned criteria, or seems suspicious/engages in suspicious behaviour, please take a screenshot of this character and report it thru Forum, Discord or the Ticket System. It will be investigated as soon as possible, and you will be informed of whether this individual was a true GM or an impersonator.
Boards
GMs can be identified when ALL of these conditions are true:
- Below their avatar their forum rank title should read
DeveloperorGame Master. - Their nickname color is not the regular white color, but can be teal or blue.
Discord
Staff can be identified when ALL of these conditions are true:
- They have a role under teal and purple color.
- Their role reads either
Owner, Staff(GM),
Developer, Event Planner, Bot Hunter, Wiki Masteretc.
