Party

Overview

Parties are small groups of players (maximum of 12) for the purpose of easier leveling and companionship.

To create a party, use the /organize <name> command. You must have the Novice Basic Skill level 7 to create a party. Players can join a party at any level.

The person who creates the party becomes the Party Leader. The Party Leader can invite people to the party using the /invite command (Usage: /invite <name>) or by right-clicking on them.

Warning

If the character's name has a space (EX: Ramza Beoulve), you can use /invite Ramza to invite them. Keep in mind if someone else has a similar name, this way may not work properly.

Setup Options

Item Setup

  • Each Take - Items can be picked up first by the person that killed the monster.
  • Party Share - Items can be equally picked up by all party members.
  • Individual - Items picked up go to the person that picked it up.
  • Shared - Items picked up randomly go to one of the party members.

Experience Setup

Experience setup can be changed at any time (only by the party leader).

  • Each Take - Party members only gain EXP according to the percentage of damage done to monsters.
  • Even Share - Party members share EXP.

    Example

if a Wizard is sharing with a Priest and Monk, the experience gained by the monsters killed by all three will be equally distributed between the three of them.

Only people within 10 Base Levels of each other can share

    Example

Level 91, Level 89, Level 98 could share with each other.

Sharing Experience in Arcadia

  • Shared EXP increases by an 15% for each additional player who has either dealt OR received damage or non-damage skills from monsters.

    • This effect is commonly referred to as "tap".
    • Regardless whether the player is a party member or not, the tap bonus will add its EXP to the monster.
    • Tap EXP bonus is capped at 11 taps, for a 165% bonus.
    • Tap EXP bonus for out of party players is capped at 2 taps.
  • Parties that don't have any dual-clienting players on the map will get an additional EXP bonus per unique Master Account in the party.

    • The party gets a 15%, 10% or 5% EXP bonus according to the table below.
    • If a second character from the same Master Account enters the same map the party is currently in, the party bonus will be lost. When the second character leaves, there is a 10 minute-cooldown before the bonus becomes active again.
      • If a dual-clienting player is removed from the party, the rest of the party does not suffer the 10-minute cooldown period.
    • Bard and Dancer's Ensemble Skill Mr. Kim A Rich Man does not stack with this bonus.

Party Window changes

Quality of Life improvements have been added to the party window, allowing users to change the displayed order of party members. These adjustments are client-side only, and visible only to the person making the changes, but will allow for easier navigation through the party window.

This function can be utilized by navigating to the party window (Default Alt + Z), “Unlocking” the party window, right clicking a playername and moving them up or down one position until the party has been reorganized to your needs.

Ping System

To know more, refer to its complete wiki entry.

A Ping System has been implemented, allowing players to ping a location to draw attention to other party members. This ping is shown visually, in-game and on the mini-map, and a small sound is played as well. The Ping hotkey can be assigned in the “Shortcut Key Settings Window”, accessible from the menu (Default control+P).

A Ping can be made either by pressing its assigned hotkey and then selecting a location near your in-game character, or by selecting a location on the mini-map. The sound that plays is positional, meaning that the sound cue should generally occur in the direction of the ping itself (i.e., if the ping is made to your left, it should occur from your left speaker). Please note that 2D Sound Mode will remove the positional sound logic, so please be sure that this feature is enabled on your PC in order to hear the sound as it was intended, if desired.
