Elements

Explanation

Explanation

Every monster has its own element(1). The element defines its weaknesses and strengths against skills/other elements. If you attack a monster with the opposite attribute, you can increase the amount of damage done when attacking.

  1. The term is often used interchangeably with Property or Attribute.

The elements are categorized into four levels. The damage modifiers in relation to the defending and attacking element(1) vary depending on the level of the defending element.

  1. An attack's element is not distinguished by level.

How to read the element chart

How to read the tables

The rows represent the attributes of the spell or skill, and columns are the monsters attribute. The side that is using an elemental attack doesn't have separate levels, but the side receiving damage is separated into 4 levels. The number indicates the amount of damage done to the monster (in %).
The green colored numbers indicate additional damage is applied (above 100%), and the red colored numbers indicate damage below 100%. In case of a negative value, a monster will gain HP from the attack.

Example

You want to know what element best to attack with against Raydric, in the control panel(1) you'll quickly spot at that monster's entry, that Holy has the best damage modifier with 150%.

  1. Usually it's quicker and more convenient to check the monster's control panel entry.
