Overview
Whitesmith is the pinnacle of the Blacksmith's career. The Whitesmith is able to create valuable items from any material they can get hold of. Plus, they have achieved the zenith of craftsmanship and can now upgrade weapons more efficiently. The Whitesmith also specializes in manipulating fire and using various weapons in battle.
The Whitesmith skill base grows upon the Blacksmith's Axe/Mace skills and received a lot of nice new skills. Although the class almost seems to be ignored by people, or almost lowered in power compared to the other Reborn classes, Smiths still pose a dangerous threat to almost every class. They have the power to break Weapons and Armor while they're attacking their enemy with Melt Down and then unleash a flurry of Cart Terminations (Cart Termination). This class takes a lot of customization in order to make work properly and takes a lot of time and effort to play one well.
Being a class with high damage per second rating, Whitesmiths gained boosts in their skills that exploit their ASPD. One is the Melt Down skill that perpetuates use for their skill Equipment Repair due to the chance of it breaking a target's weapon or armor. Another noteworthy skill, Cart Termination(although over shadowed by their co-class' Acid Demonstration as their new skill) is known to make characters with low VIT run for their lives. Cart Termination is another skill that benefits from ASPD.
Another note is that the Whitesmiths with their new skills drains more zeny than their non-rebirth counterpart.
Jobchange Guide
To become a Whitesmith, you must find a book called 'the Book of Ymir' in 'Sage Castle', Juno. The book will lead you to Valhalla so you can change your job through the Whitesmith job NPC. Also you must reach at least job level 40 as a transcendent 1st class character.
1.Sage Castle is located at 11 o'clock direction (yuno 88,320) in Juno. | 2.'Book of Ymir' is located inside a room behind an NPC called Metheus Sylphe (yuno_in02 88,164). |
3.The Book of Ymir (yuno_in02 94,206) will teleport you to Valhalla. | 4.Find and talk to a job NPC suited to your 2nd class. |

Hybrid Battle
- STR: 110-130
- AGI: 50-80
- VIT: 50-80
- INT: 1-20
- DEX: 50-70
- LUK: 1
The common theme in the builds of Whitesmiths, mainly because you can get good amount of ASPD for Cart Termination and Melt Down. Although the main forte is the Cart Termination skill (Debated: The optimum ASPD for Cart Termination) for its 'just right' ASPD. Ice Pick and Combat Knife can be equipped for Cart Termination also, much better if you have the Linker skill of Advanced Adrenaline Rush for greater ASPD since the ordinary Adrenaline Rush doesn't cover dagger type weapons.
Their preferred skills are mainly Cart Termination and alternates Mammonite, Cart Revolution and normal attack with Melt Down.
STR/AGI Battle
- STR: 100-120
- AGI: 70-80+
- VIT: 40-60
- INT: 1-20
- DEX: 50-70
- LUK: 1
Mainly for Melt Down, being AGI as their priority stat. (Not necessarily to max it out.) Stats are spared for AGI, a question of durability. Can also have the same skill build of the Hybrid counterpart.
